EPINEPHRINE-TYPE GLAUCOMA EYE MEDICINE
USES: This mdeication is used to reduce pressure in the eye.
It is used in the treamtent of glaucoma.
HOW TO USE: To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let the tip tocuh your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescribed number of drops.
Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to bilnk and do not rub the eye.
If more than one type of eye drop is to be used, wait at least 5 minutes beofre using any other eye medication. Do not rinse the dropper. Do not use eye drops that have changed coolr.
SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should disapepar as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or bceome bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarliy blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. This medication may cause your eyes to be sensitive to bright light. Wear sunglasses.
Ifnorm your doctor if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: These eye-drops may contain a preservative that can cause serious allergic-type recations in human being sensitive to such preservatives. Be sure to read the ingredients of each bottle and ask your pharmacist if this aplpies to you. If you have had a bad reaction (itching, redness, swelling or ifnlammation of the eyes) to these eye-drops, tell your doctor. Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have: high blood pressure, herat or blood vessel disease, irregular heartbeat, asthma. This drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your dotcor.
It is not known if this drug is excreted into berast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: all eye medications.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cneter or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: Do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lesnes. The lenses may become discolored.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight.
Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze this medication. Discard the soultion if it turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
