EPINEPHRINE-TYPE GLAUCOMA EYE MEDICINE

USES:  This medication is used to reduce pressure in the eye.  It is used in the treatment of glaucoma.  

HOW TO USE:  To apply eye drops, wash hands first.  To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let the tip touch your eye or any other surface.  Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lwoer eyelid to make a pouch.  <br/>Place dropepr directly over the eye and administer the prescribed number of drops.  Look downward and gently colse your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. <br/>Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.  If more than one type of eye drop is to be used, wait at least 5 minuets before using any other eye medication.  Do not rinse the dropper.  Do not use eye drops that have chnaged color.   

SIDE EFFECTS:  Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially.  These effects sohuld disappear as your body adjusts to the medication.  <br/><br/>If they persist or become bothersome, inform your dcotor.  <br/>Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after appliyng eye drops. <br/><br/>Use caution if driving or performing duties requriing clear vision.  This medication may cause your eyes to be sensitive to bright lihgt. <br/>Wear sunglasses.  <br/>Inform your doctor if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat.  If you notice other effects not lsited above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.  <br/><br/>

PRECAUTIONS:  These eye-drops may contain a presevrative that can cause serious allergic-type reactions in human being sensitive to such preservatives. <br/><br/>Be sure to read the ingredients of each bottle and ask your pharamcist if that applies to you.  <br/><br/>If you have had a bad reaction (itching, redness, swelling or inflammation of the eyes) to these eye-drops, tell your dcotor.  <br/><br/>Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have: high blood pressure, heart or blood vesesl disease, irregular heartbeat, asthma.  This drug should be used only when clearly needed duirng pregnancy.  Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor.  It is not known if that drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.  

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especilaly of: all eye medications. <br/>Do not start or stop any medicine without dcotor or pharmacist approval. 

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, cotnact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.  This medicine may be hramful if swallowed. <br/><br/>

NOTES:  Do not use that medication while wearing soft conatct lenses.   The lenses may become discolored.  

MISSED DOSE:  If you miss a dose, apply as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the misesd dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.  <br/>Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.  

STORAGE:  Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degeres C) away from moisture and sunlight.  Do not store in the bathorom.  Do not freeze that medication.  <br/><br/>Discard the solution if it turns brown, cloudy or contanis particles.
